The curator of Artisti, in Italy, is responsible for the personal data handled by Artisti. Write to info@lume.gallery for anything on this page.

What we keep, and why

  • Notes on the wall: the text and the name you choose to add. Everyone can read approved notes. Before a note goes up it is checked automatically by an AI model (xAI or Anthropic). The artist reads the notes and may be inspired by them.
  • Bids: your email address and the amount, to run the auction and send you the receipt and the painting. Your card is saved by Stripe, not by us.
  • Payments: kept for as long as Italian tax law requires (10 years).
  • Limits on notes and bids: a scrambled form of your internet address, kept for one day to stop abuse.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you: it records which pages are opened, the country, and the kind of device and browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser remembers the email you last used for bidding, on your device only.

Messages

When you write to us with the form on the home page, we receive your name, your email address and your message, and use them only to reply. We keep the message in our inbox for as long as the conversation needs it.

Who else handles it

Vercel (hosting), Neon (database, in Frankfurt), Stripe (payments), xAI or Anthropic (checking notes), Resend (email: the messages you send us and our replies, and emails about an order), and, when you buy a print, Prodigi (printing and delivery: your name, address, email and phone, to send it). Some of these companies are based in the United States and process data under the EU standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how it is used, by writing to info@lume.gallery. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
